Our Maui vacation rental estate is located on the southwest coast of our beautiful tropical island where you’ll find Maui’s fastest-growing resort community of Kihei – a paradise for golfers, watersports enthusiasts, shoppers, beach goers, and sun worshipers.   Some of the activities available for tourists and locals alike include – golfing, wind-surfing, surfing, skim-boarding, body-boarding, kite-surfing, snorkeling, skin-diving, fishing, and tennis- to name just a few!   Although it is truly a resort area Kihei has a more residential “feel” to it than the western side of the island.   Small shopping malls, boutiques, farmer’s markets, island-style markets offering local handmade goods, great restaurants, and beach parks all characterize Kihei.

Today’s tsunami generated by the 8.8 earthquake in Chile turned out not to be a threat at all…thank the good Lord for that. No damage was sustained at all anywhere in Hawaii. CNN states, “Hawaii dodged the bullet.”

We were very lucky.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people who have lost loved ones today in the Chilean earthquake.
